Biote pellet therapy helps to treat symptoms that stem from Estrogen or Testosterone hormonal imbalances. The treatment helps keep patient’s hormone levels consistent throughout the day.

How it works

Biote pellets consisting of custom-compounded, plant-based, bio-identical hormones are inserted subcutaneously into the body in a quick, simple, in-office procedure. These pellets will gradually be absorbed, dispersing hormones throughout the body. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) may offer relief for many common and debilitating symptoms such as exhaustion, stress, foggy thinking, weight gain, sleep disturbances, and so much more. Often, people with symptoms like these are suffering from hormonal imbalance, BHRT may help relieve the symptoms by raising hormones to their normal levels.

Why it’s awesome

BHRT is customized to the patient’s unique physiology and will work toward establishing a state of hormone balance within their body.

Questions? We’re here for you.

Is a consultation required before BHRT?

A consultation with Dr. Dele-Michael is required prior to BioTE BHRT. Extensive lab work is performed, and results are discussed with the patient before moving forward with BioTE BHRT.

What happens during the In-office BioTE Pellet insertion?

During the in-office visit, which only takes a few minutes, patients are brought into the exam room, and the insertion site is numbed. The most common site of insertion is the upper buttocks. A small incision is then made for pellet insertion. Once the pellet is inserted, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage.

Is there any downtime associated with BioTE BHRT?

After pellet insertion, it’s best to eliminate lower body exercise. Walking should be fine, but extraneous activity is not recommended. Swimming, hot tubs, and bathtubs are to be avoided; however, showers are permitted. After removal of the bandage, normal activity may resume.

How long does BioTE Pellet take to work?

Most patients report some symptom resolution in as little as four weeks, but full optimization may take up to six months.
